The Best Movies on Netflix

 The Best Movies on Netflix

Finding the greatest movie to watch on Netflix can be a difficult task.
We've all been in that situation.
You've made the decision to watch something.
You have access to the complete Netflix library, including a trimmed-down selection of films you've already marked to watch at a later time.
Then there's the decision.
You'll need to select something that matches your mood or something you and your friend/significant other/couch companion can agree on.
You browse for hours, and by the time you come across anything you think might be the one, it's too late, you're too weary, and indecision has triumphed.
But have no fear, Collider has a list to help you uncover the best Netflix movies available in your area.

  • The Fear Street Trilogy

    Leigh Janiak, director
Phil Graziadei and Leigh Janiak (Part One), Zak Olkewicz (Part Two), Phil Graziadei and Leigh Janiak, and Kate Trefry (Part Three) (Part Three)
Kiana Madeira, Olivia Scott Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., Sadie Sink, and others are among the cast members.

The Fear Street trilogy, probably one of the best Netflix originals ever, is the ideal binge-watch.
    This RL Stine adaptation
The Stine book series is a trio of horror films linked by characters and mythology, each with its unique tone and take on the slasher genre.
Fear Street: 1994 sets the scene for the action, introducing the community of Shadyside, where horrible things constantly seem to happen.
A gang of kids are pursued by a slew of serial killers from the town's past, only to be discovered.

    The Lost Boys

For his 1987 vampire thriller, Joel Schumacher gathered some of the era's biggest rising talents to follow a pair of brothers whose recent transfer to a tiny California town is compounded by a band of teenage bloodsuckers ravaging the area.
The Lost Boys' humor and terror, as well as many of the film's themes, hold up significant well decades later.
Come for the stylish horror film, but stay for Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Kiefer Sutherland, and a greasy saxophonist from the 1980s.

  • Enola Holmes

    Harry Bradbeer, director
    Jack Thorne (writer)
Helena Bonham Carter, Millie Bobby Brown, Louis Partridge, Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin
Enola Holmes is one of the most adorable and well-made Netflix original films to date.
The historical mystery follows Millie Bobby Brown's titular character, who is the youngest Holmes sibling and has been raised almost alone by her single mother, based on Nancy Springer's novel series of the same name.
When she discovers her mother is gone one day, she takes matters into her own hands and travels to London to investigate.
The film is a lot of fun, with Enola following leads and hunting for clues with abandon, but it's also an unexpectedly moving mother-daughter narrative with genuine emotion.

  • The Conjuring

    James Wan, director
Chad Hayes and Carey W. Hayes are the authors.
Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Lili Taylor, Ron Livingston, Mackenzie Foy, Joey King, and Hayley McFarland are among the cast members.
With mega-franchise starters SAW in 2004 and Insidious in 2010, James Wan had already built a reputation for himself in the horror genre, and he pulled off the unconscious once more with The Conjuring in 2013.
Despite the fact that there was no blood, gore, extreme violence, or language, Warner Bros. gave it a R rating at the time because it was "that scary and dramatic." I can remember a convention hall full of people muttering to themselves and shifting nervously as the “clapping game” scene played out, to gasps and thunderous applause. You can

  • The Summit of the Gods

Director Patrick Imbert's beautifully animated French-language film follows a Japanese photojournalist on his search for the truth about a mysterious mountain climber and his connection to one of the first teams to attempt to climb Mt.
    Everest.

The Summit of the Gods is the rare adaptation of a Japanese manga series that does right by its source material — which was also based on a 1998 novel by Baku Yumemakura — and was a Cannes Film Festival favorite for its magnificent visual achievement and captivating tale .
The film is both fascinating and heartbreaking, and it's difficult not to get drawn into the protagonists' epic adventure.

  • Always Be My Maybe

Sasha (Ali Wong) and Marcus (Randall Park), childhood friends who cross paths as adults after a teenage relationship, quickly find themselves navigating life and love while maintaining two very distinct career paths and social circles.

He installs air conditioners and she is a celebrity chef who hangs out with Keanu Reeves.
Can they ever come to an agreement?
You probably already know the answer, but the pleasure is in seeing how they get there — especially when it comes to Reeves' unforgettable performance.

  • Ghost Rainey's Black Bottom

George C. Wolfe is the director.

    Ruben Santiago-Hudson (writer)
Viola Davis, Chadwick Boseman, Glynn Turman, Colman Domingo, and Michael Potts are among the cast members.
Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, which will be released in 2020, is a powerful showcase for all of the actors involved, including Chadwick Boseman in his final live-action role.
The film follows famous recording artist Ma Rainey as she gathers her team to record a new album on a sweltering July day in 1927, based on the stage production of the same name.
Tensions mount and interaction between these characters crackles as Boseman's trumpeter dreams of making it famous on his own, while Ma Rainey knows all too well what lies ahead.
This is an outstanding play with strong performances.
