The most exciting video games

The most exciting video games

Despite the fact that we're nearly two years into a new console generation, we're in for a rather quiet summer in terms of major releases. Entertainment is a form of activity that holds the attention and interest of an audience or gives pleasure and delight. It can be an idea or a task, but is more likely to be one of the activities or events that have developed over thousands of years specifically for the purpose of keeping an audience's attention. The pandemic has pushed a number of blockbusters to the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023, leaving an otherwise stacked schedule looking unusually thin. However, if you're willing to look a bit deeper, there are a number of games worth anticipating.

  • SAINTS ROW

Saints Row, the long-awaited reboot of a series in desperate need of one.
Saints Row is currently in development at Volition and will be the series' first new entry in a long time.
By the time launch comes around, it will have been seven years if you count Gat Out of Hell, which many people don't. It will have been nine if you leave off with Saints Row 4.
Almost ten years! There aren't many details on what to expect from Saints Row, but we do know that you play as "The Boss," a figure who breaks away from one of three local gangs to start his own.
Then it's up to you to establish supremacy over the other factions.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Forget everything you know about Zelda games.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a ground-breaking new game in the acclaimed franchise, transports you to a realm of discovery, exploration, and adventure.
In this open-air adventure, you'll travel over fields, forests, and mountain peaks to discover what has become of Hyrule's devastated kingdom.
You can go wherever you choose in Hyrule's wilds.

  • Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

There are lots of other Assassin's Creed games that could make a Top 100 list, but Black Flag was the most fun we've had in the series thus far.
The enormous open-world exploration and stealth-focused mission structure that gave the franchise its start are both there in AC4.
Its naval combat and marine exploration were endlessly entertaining, and there has yet to be a historical guest star to match Blackbeard or Mary Read.

  • THE QUARRY

In contrast to Mario Strikers: Battle League's family joy, Supermassive's upcoming horror romp The Quarry requires the creation of a new term: "family unfun."
That isn't to say it isn't enjoyable! It's just not a game you should be playing with your four-year-old. The Quarry is about a mishmash of nine teens who work as counselors at Hackett's Quarry summer camp. It's your last day at work, and you've decided to throw a party because there are no children or people around to bother you. What could possible go wrong with a party hosted by teens on the last day of camp?
Obviously, everything goes wrong. You'll be forced to make a range of difficult options as the game develops.

  • Grand Theft Auto III

Players are thrust into the center of their own gangster film, with a cast of hundreds, 50+ vehicles ranging from sports cars to ice cream trucks and boats to buses, 3 hours of music encompassing opera, reggae, house, drum and bass, pop and disco, and a massive arsenal of street-ready weapons.

  • League of Legends

League of Legends resides in a magical realm where intense competition meets entertaining strategy.
Despite the fact that there is a lot to learn, League of Legends has excellent modes that make the MOBA simple to pick up while also pushing players as they progress up the competitive ladder.
While the magnificent Summoner's Rift is the major arena for competitive play, the other modes offer a terrific way to practice with Champions when things become too tense.
League of Legends is one of the best competitive games in existence, with ongoing improvement upgrades and a continuous shifting roster.

  • Counter-Strike 1.6

Because of Counter-Strike, I cherish many of the characteristics I value most in skill-based games: outstanding level design, team-based dynamics, the devotion required to learn it, a pleasant feeling of competition, and a strong sense of community.
It taught me the delight of winning games, as well as the value of learning from my mistakes.
It's why I enjoy first-person shooters and why I've persisted with PC gaming since I was a kid, and I owe it all to its early editions.

  • Minecraft

Minecraft's principle is really simple: mine materials like stone and wood and use them to construct stuff.
However, the choices are virtually endless.
The world always starts out bright and sunny, and you use this time to chop down trees, dig, and possibly murder a few animals for food.
It's fantastic until the sun begins to fall and the real enemies come.
This is when you realize you're playing a survival game and must either burrow underground or build a hastily constructed wood cabin.
Then, as the morning rises and you see all of your foes burn to a char, you are free to roam once more, and you are overcome with an euphoric desire to do so.
