Is Liza Soberano finally breaking into Hollywood with a film starring American actor Cole Sprouse? Fans speculate on this because the actress is linked to the upcoming film "Lisa Frankenstein."
Speculations about Soberano's alleged involvement in the film arose after event production agency JSLA Events' Jessie Stafford tagged Soberano on her Instagram Stories today, Aug. 9.
She shared an Instagram post from "Lisa Frankenstein" star Kathryn Newton, which showed a clapper and the director's chair on the first day of filming for the film, which was also today.
"I'm sending you and your team all the incredible energy you need to kill this film," Stafford said. She also mentioned Transparent Arts, which represents Soberano's manager and co-star James Reid.
As of this writing, the Instagram Stories are no longer available on Stafford's Instagram page, though it has been reposted by several netizens, including one @REIDersOfficial, Reid's fan account.
Soberano has yet to confirm whether she will appear in the film, but some observant fans have noticed that the actress is being followed by Newton and "Lisa Frankenstein" director Zelda Williams, the late comedian Robin Williams' daughter.
According to a June release by production company Focus Features, "Lisa Frankenstein," starring Sprouse and Newton, is written by Oscar-winning Diablo Cody. It is also Williams' feature-length directorial debut.
Meanwhile, Soberano traveled to Hawaii with Reid and Careless Music CEO Jeffrey Oh to celebrate the birthday of Filipino-American online personality Bretman Rock. The actress signed with the record label in June and has since spoken out about her desire to work in Hollywood.
